The tale of basketball star Len Bias is one of glory and also tragedy. A two-time All-American and the second overall pick in the 1986 NBA Draft, Bias was named the ACC Player of the Year in both 1985 and 1986. With a bright future playing for the Boston Celtics in front of him, Bias died of cardiac arrhythmia after using cocaine with friends and teammates the night he returned from an acceptance ceremony in Boston. Bias' four-year career as a rising star with the University of Maryland Terrapins basketball team is well represented with this 1982-1986 full ticket, ticket stub and calendar lot of (113). Bias is featured in photos on several of the full tickets and stubs and he is depicted on all of the calendars.
