Pictured as participants in both baseball and military battle, (5) different New York Yankees heroes have autographed these images. Signatures average (“8-9”) strength (with noted exceptions) and include: 1939 World Series Celebration a framed black-and-white print signed by Gordon, McCarthy (“6”) and Ruffing; Joe DiMaggio a 1940s magazine page depicting DiMaggio in his military attire, signed at the top in blue Sharpie (“10”); Waite Hoyt framed magazine page portraying (4) members of the “Murderers Row” club, signed by Hoyt. Auction LOA from JSA.
