A welcome sight to 49er fans and a mere blur to the defensive secondary he burned, Hall of Famer Jerry Rice made his way into the end zone more than any other player in NFL history. The offered professional model helmet has been autographed by the prolific receiver. The gold-colored size “7-1/4” plastic shell features “SF” logo decals adhered to either side, a four-bar face mask and a “Riddell” snubber and chin strap. On the right side of the helmet, a detailed painting of Rice is accented by his black Sharpie autograph, which projects (“9-10”) strength and clarity. Within the shell, padded cells and jaw pads remain intact, as do the size and “Warning” stickers. Additionally, there are handwritten numeric notations. While we cannot attribute game or practice use by Rice or any specific player, the item does show some degree of battle wear, with minor scuffs on the outside and perspiration-induced soiling about the interior pads. Full photo LOA from JSA (for autograph only; cert/sticker #B51657).
