Crafted in 1956-1957, examples such as these (2) “Turf King” and jockey couplings portray a rider clad in red-and-white atop a walking/standing horse. Includes:
The classic “Turf King” and jockey with the standing bay horse. The horse has a series of very faint surface scratches. The jockey is unblemished and the No. 7 saddle accompanies. The rare crop piece is missing.
”Turf King” dark brown variation with jockey. This arrangement is missing the rare crop piece and also features a brown saddle instead of the regulation numbered piece. Jockey shows rubbing and a series of minor surface marks.
