While champagne had been at the ready for the Yankees since they had taken a commanding three games-to-none advantage in the 2004 ALCS, it was the Boston locker room that was the scene for the uncorking of the bubbly after the BoSox completed an improbable comeback. The offered “Korbel” bottle was employed in the raucous celebration and autographed by Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling. Executed on the front of the bottle, Schilling’s silver Sharpie penning shows (“9”) quality. Steiner Sports COA/hologram; MLB hologram #MT 00510127.
